From an early age I wanted to be a lawyer with my first taste of legal work doing Summer jobs in Inns of court in London. I graduated in 1984 with a LLB Honours.

I then spent 20 years on the West Coast of Canada where I was a Financial and Insurance Advisor, advising private clients and companies on wealth management, estate planning and business succession.

When I returned to England I went back to the law, was admitted as a Solicitor and worked for several firms of Solicitors in the West Country until I took up the post of Head of Home Move at Bevirs in 2020.

I now specialise in residential property but have studied and worked in other areas of the law, including Company and Commercial, Private Client and Family and Commercial Property.

I therefore have a good understanding of how property transactions are impacted by life’s events and I aim to provide a empathetic and personal service to my clients.

Outside of work I enjoy visiting National Trust properties and English Heritage sites, classic car shows and attending live music gigs. At home, I’m an enthusiastic cook and enjoy creating new dishes and, of course, eating them!
